The Narcoossee Road exit off State Road 417 in Florida is about 30 minutes from downtown Orlando. It’s there that a tragic motor vehicle accident took the life of a 14-year-old boy from Bohemia, New York.
About 9:45 p.m., on a recent Thursday, a 29-year-old man was driving a Nissan Maxima south on State Road 417. Traveling in the lane next to him was a 47-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy in a Chrysler Pacifica.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the man in the Maxima changed lanes and struck the Pacifica. Both vehicles went over the guardrail off the shoulder of the road. The 14-year-old died at the crash site after being ejected from the Pacifica.
The two drivers suffered only minor injuries. The FHP is still investigating the crash.
