A look at wrongful death in the state of Florida

Although just about any death can feel wrongful to the bereaved, filing a successful wrongful death action requires you to prove that your loved one died wrongfully. To build a successful claim in Florida, you and your lawyer must show the court that one or more of the following caused or at least contributed to a death.

What are the most common causes for commercial truck crashes?

We all want to stay safe when we are out on the road. Unfortunately, that just isn't always an option. After all, drivers are vulnerable through not only their own actions but also the driving behaviors of others on the road. One unsafe driver can cause conditions that endanger dozens of people in just one trip.

3 factors that can lead to product liability claims

Purchasing items for the store or private sellers shouldn't be a safety hazard. People should be able to count on the products they buy to work as intended without causing an unnecessary or unreasonable risk of harm. Unfortunately, there are times when products don't do what they are supposed to do, which can put people in harm's way.

Injuries after a car wreck might not show up right away

People who are in a car wreck won't always know right away what types of injuries they have. Some of the possibilities won't manifest until days or weeks after the crash. It is necessary to keep a watchful eye on how you feel if you have been in a car accident.

Bicycle crash injuries can be catastrophic

Orlando is a beautiful city that is conducive to outdoor sports, including bicycling. For individuals who choose this physical activity, remaining safe is a top priority. They do still have to count on motorists to help keep them safe by practicing safe driving skills. Unfortunately, there are times when bicyclists are struck. This can lead to very serious injuries for them.

Cooking sprays can explode and leave people badly hurt or burned

Aerosol cooking spray has been a standard ingredient in most American kitchens for decades. In fact, many people would have no idea how to keep items from sticking to their pots and pans if it weren't for cooking sprays. Unfortunately, as useful as cooking spray can be for ensuring that a cake slides neatly out of a pan, they can also be quite dangerous to consumers in certain situations.

Compensation claims must be comprehensive after a car wreck

Motor vehicle wrecks can lead to catastrophic injuries that impact lives for the long term. While many people might assume that the victim's insurance company will cover the costs of care, this often isn't the case. Plus, there are many other expenses that come with these types of injuries.

The Magic Kingdom has a scooter problem. People on scooters are plowing into pedestrians and those riding the scooters are also getting hurt. Large vehicles may need more space to stop than you realize

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, almost 5,000 large trucks and buses were involved in fatal crashes in the United States in 2017, representing a 9 percent increase over the previous year.
